Less sour, but sweeter and stronger

Rimmel's lasting finish nail varnish in Tangy Tangerine  (705)

I'd not tried Rimmel's nail varnishs before, as I've been fairly faithful to my beloved BarryM, or whatever I am gifted with. But I picked this up as part of superdrugs "spend £10 on Rimmel products and get a free scandaleyes mascara" and being the sucker for freebies that I am, I happily obliged. For £2.99 I wasn't confident on the quality, as I chip nail varnish easily anyway, but I've been really impressed with the wearability and the pigment is fab. I can't stand thin nail varnishs that take a gagillion coats, this only took two, and thats perfect. Such a nice 'summer shade' and I'm excited to try out more from their range.

One of those days

Hat: Missguided, Shirt: H&M, Necklace: Accessorize, Trousers: New Look, Shoes: Toms, Lipstick: Topshop's Inhibition.

I was pretty much blinded by the sun, but I just about managed a smile at the camera. A quick casual look that I had to post, as I am a bit in love with these trousers. I spotted them when I was on my rare New look browse, not only did I like them and they fit (me and trousers don't usually mesh), they were in the sale for £8! They haven't been the easiest thing to fit into my wardrobe, but my old timer denim shirt is easy to match with anything so it was my best bet. I have also lived in these Toms so far this year, despite a few soakings they are surprisingly resilient. Popped on a hat and lipstick and I was good to go x

Life's little Victories

A very inspirational video from a very heartwarming girl :) I couldn't help but share as its something we all need. Depression and anxiety are a huge problems that are often invisible, but for those effected either personally or through friends and family it becomes very real. Without trying to sound too cheesy, saying Yes will change the course of a life. It can seem so easy in theory, but physically it can feel like an impossible barrier for those suffering from depression and anxiety. I want today and every day to come to be a journey to achieving these impossibilities, to relish in the tiny successes of everyday life.

Please, if you haven't already, have a look at Zoella's channel and blog. Whether its out of beauty interests or life related interests, send her a little virtual love in the form of a 'thumb up' or a cheeky little comment x

Must we be content with fragments

Dress - New Look
Boots - Topshop
Necklace - Dorothy Perkins
Lipstick - Rimmel by Kate 04

We have seen a glimpse of summer this week, but the wind and the rain quickly came back to remind us where we live :) So today I settled for a semi-winter look that didn't get too stuffy but kept the chills away. I don't go into New Look that often, but when I do I usually find some good pieces, just wish they were a tad cheaper. I love how light and comfortable this dress is! Ideally I'd like it longer and I do have to be careful about my undergarment choice due to the thin and light colour of the material. But its easy to wear, multi-seasonal and flattering on your shape.

Daisy also came out mid picture shoot, not wanting to miss out on the action :) By this point my hair was getting more and more windswept!

April adorations

Its been a hectic month and May is only going to be more mayhem :) Despite this I did find a few gems that I've thoroughly enjoyed:
1. Burt's Bees lip balm (Acai berry)
This smells gorgeous and works a charm. I'd heard good things about it and depsite it being a little extra than other lip balms, definitley well worth it.
2. Collection 2000 concealer in fair
I know this has been talked about a lot and I have used this before, however, I kind of forgot about it and only decided to try it again recently. I struggled to find this shade in stock, but I'm happy I finally found it. Mine is looking a bit worse for wear, but I think that just shows my love. It really is one of the best concealers out there and for the price, you just can't refuse.
3. Rimmel's lash accelerator mascara
Rimmel has been very impressive this year and this doesn't disappoint. My lashs look HUGE when using it and it controls my crazy lashes fairly well too.
4.  Rimmels's lasting finish by Kate Lipstick in 04
I picked this up as its very similar to Topshop's inhibition shade, but a slightly darker purple. I love this, it stays on brilliantly, moisturises and only needs re-applying a couple of times during a day.

Also, have really loved superdrugs "spend £10 on Rimmel products and get a free Scandaleyes mascara". Of course I found this super easy to qualify for ;) I've yet to try the mascara, but i look forward to it, nothing better than a freebee and an excuse to spend more x
